How often do you meet?
We meet once a month in the Community Room of the Saratoga Library. On the last Tuesday of every month, we have a 1.5-hour meeting to discuss plans for upcoming events and to update the team on individual tasks. Outside of these meetings, each committee holds individual bi-weekly meetings, as well as the platform Slack to communicate offline with one another.
How is TAB structured?
TAB is split up into committees—Social Events, Collaborative Events, Speaker Series, and Showcase—with one student leading each committee. Each committee is responsible for creating each type of event, and new event proposals are created during the beginning of each year. Two co-presidents, elected at the end of the year, lead TAB as a whole.
What else do TAB members need to do?
Aside from meetings, all TAB members are expected to attend TAB events! It's usually tons of fun—and snacks are always involved.
Can I get volunteer hours for this?
Yes! Once you join TAB, speak to our library supervisor, Birgit Spring, about getting volunteer hours for time spent in TAB.
